Advertisement Hidden Distress Among Well-Off Women in America

We’ve written regularly about the how death rates have been rising among some large segments of the US population. One troubling finding was the Case-Deaton study that reported how lifespans have shortened among less educated white Americans aged 45-54. As co-author and Nobel Prize winner Angus Deaton said earlier this year, “Many areas of Appalachia and Mississippi Delta have lower life expectancy than Bangladesh.” The Case-Deaton findings came after a 2015 Urban Institute study that found that death ...

Andrea Germanos – Obamacare Repeal = $7 Million Tax Cut for Nation’s Richest 400 People

Repealing Obamacare, which Republicans on Friday appear closer to doing, would deliver a sizeable tax cut for the rich, a new report shows.

Released Thursday by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP), the publication shows that the repeal would give to each of the top 400 highest-income taxpayers—who averaged incomes of roughly $318 million in 2014—a tax cut of about $7 million a year.

That’s because getting rid of the healthcare law would mean getting rid of its ...

The Congressional Budget Office has some bad news for Obamacare repealers

The Congressional Budget Office has stepped into the Obamacare repeal fight, issuing a fierce warning to Republicans in the form of … a sternly worded blog post.

CBO is the government’s nonpartisan scorekeeper, the agency that tells Congress how much new programs cost and who they’ll cover. Their analysts will estimate how many people get insurance under any Republican replacement plan.

And CBO, in its new blog post, says it won’t let Republicans count especially skimpy coverage as ...

Obamacare on the brink of collapse: Insurance rates are rising rapidly

(NaturalHealth365) As insurers flee Obamacare in escalating numbers, it’s clear that the ‘Affordable Care Act’ is not sustainable as a practical healthcare solution. In fact, the cost of Obamacare has moved our county’s healthcare system to the edge of total collapse.

Meanwhile, Democrats and the Obama administration keep calling the Affordable Care Act “a great success.” They point out that 20 million Americans who were previously uninsured now have insurance. However, they fail to mention that these “results” sacrifice the qualities ...

Flu Vaccine Effectiveness in Question

Flu season is rapidly approaching and, with it, constant reminders to get vaccinated. This despite the fact that mounting research suggests this approach to flu prevention may be ill advised for long-term health, and doesn’t actually work in the first place.

In January 2015, U.S. government officials admitted that, in most years, flu shots are, at best, 50 to 60 percent effective at preventing lab confirmed influenza requiring medical care.1

Then, in December 2015, a Centers for Disease Control and ...

How To Make Fermented Pickles

You don’t need a recipe to make fermented or brined pickles, but you do need to keep the correct ratio of salt to water. Brine strength is the weight of salt as a percentage of the weight of the solution. Older recipes suggest that the salt weight be 10 percent of the weight of the solution—or one cup of salt per gallon of water. Modern cookbooks suggest seven to eight percent works equally well. Any vegetable can be brined. Love ...

Americans’ out-of-pocket healthcare costs are skyrocketing

For the majority of Americans who receive health insurance through their employers, there is some good news and some bad news.

The Kaiser Family Foundation, a nonpartisan think tank addressing health policy issues, released its annual Employer Health Benefits Survey on Wednesday and looked at the cost of insurance for Americans.

Based on the data Kaiser gathered, it appears that the hit directly to American’s wallets is increasing dramatically, but the growth in their monthly payments is slowing down.

Merck says their shingles vaccine may spread shingles

The world of vaccines just keeps getting more bizarre, and the reality of vaccine side effects more grim. Now, a major shingles vaccine manufacturer is admitting that their vaccine may actually cause the spread of shingles, in addition to being linked with numerous other disturbing vaccine dangers.

Shingles is an extremely painful blistering skin rash caused by the herpes zoster virus. It can also be linked with chickenpox, or the varicella virus, if one had it as a child.

SCOTT LEMIEUX – Public Option Would Fix Health Insurance Marketplace

Last week’s announcement by Aetna that it would stop selling health insurance in 11 of the 15 states where it offers coverage through public exchanges is not a death blow to the Affordable Care Act, but it’s certainly not good news for President Obama’s signature health-care law.

Aetna maintained it was losing hundreds of millions of dollars on the health law’s marketplaces, and the company is one of more than a dozen major insurers that have announced plans ...

The Obamacare Death Spiral

Obamacare is in big trouble. Major insurers—Aetna, Humana, and United Health (the nation’s largest)—are pulling out of most exchanges. Remaining companies are seeking double-digit premium increases (at least 25% in 20 different states, some over 60%), while increasingly offering only “narrow network” plans that severely restrict available doctors and hospitals. With these developments, the scam of Obamacare, and its inevitable failure, are becoming too obvious for even the mainstream media to ignore.

The scam of Obamacare ...
